RUDOPH FRIML SPEAKS

OF JEANETTE MacDONALD

In James Bacon's column in Beverly Hills 213, he tells of visiting with Rudolph Friml while standing outside Jeanette MacDonald's funeral. The great composer was always singing the praises of Miss MacDonald On this occasion Mr. Friml said, "She sang my songs better than any other star." the operetta king spoke earlier about sending flowers to her funeral: "I sent Only a Rose!"

Happiness is a butterfly which, when pursued, is always beyond our grasp, but, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you.

Oh, Jeanette How Talented You Are!

William Tuttle, makeup-artist with MGM mentioned at the Clan Clave, giving us insight to just how marvelous our Jeanette was.  He said that Jeanette was so good at applying her own make-up that she would do it and then would seek his opinion.

Yet another facet of the our Brilliant Diamond Glittering and Sparkling not only on the Silver Screen and Concert Stage (note: she broke box office numbers at her concerts), but also in her everyday life.

There is only one Golden Diva and thank our lucky Star she still shines in our lives.

We send our best to Mr. Tuttle and his wife, hope they are enjoying the California life.
